Sinchahity Mahila Bidhyalaya

Our story

Sinchahity Mahila Bidhyalaya (school  for only women) was in action since B.S. 2067   ( 2010 A.D.) and it was legally registered through  Sinchahiti Mahila Samuha at District Education Office and Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office  in B.S. 2071 (2014 A.D.). We are associated with the community school Shree Sramjeet Kishore Secondary School,  as the rule of Educational Department of Nepal a non-formal school has to adhere with a government school (community school).

In the beginning we started with 45 neo-literate women aged 16 to 65 with the support of two non-formal education trained teachers on fully voluntary basis at Nutan Shakya's residence. After few years of operation  we are provided one room by Sinchahity Tole Sudhar Samiti at their building on our request. At the begining our priority was only to support on literacy program of Lalitpur Metropolitan City Office, but later we have to continue our school and upgrade levels on demand of students. With the increased number of student enrollement , more additional teachers and class rooms were needed, we have to recruit eight trained teachers and one office accountant and additional rooms as well. We kept on upgrading the level every year to reach our goal to B.L.E. (Basic Level Examination). First batch of nine students cleared B.L.E. on the year 2019. Further we are planning to exceed the level up to S.E.E. (Secondary Education Examination) in the coming future.

We support marginalized and under-privileged women get access to quality education. With an aim to help them gain confidence and skill to encourage entrepreneurship and enhance employment prospects.We provide unemployed and illiterate women with necessary training, skills and opportunities to help them sustain their livelihoods which will be instrumental in breaking out of the vicious cycle of poverty  in reducing education and unemployment.

We are planning provide formal classroom environment with audio visual programs, libraries, participating in interaction,  skill development programs.
